Charlotte's house is being robbed and she gets bound up pretty roughly by the robbers on the couch. Her mouth is not only stuffed but it's also taped shut by multiple strips of tape, but since she's still too loud he added another layer of double sided tape and glued a thick smelly dirty bandana to her gag. The gag is extremely effective as it shuts her up very well and she could only struggle against her rope without being able to call for outside help.
