Wild Bill snared Rowena when she went out to check her gang's horses. She was too startled to scream when his lasso went around her. Lady fought like a wild boar, but Bill soon had her tied up and gagged in his wagon. Sweating and cursing, he found himself wondering how the hell that little bitty hat stayed on her head.
Lovely Elvira came out of the ghost town's salon and headed for the stables a few minutes later, likely wondering what the hell had happened to Rowena. A flick of the lasso and a sudden yank pulled leggy Elvira into an alley. She fought and bit and scratched, but Bill soon had her bound, gagged and struggling in his wagon next to the indignant Rowena.
Finally, Abigale came outside, but she was more alert than her sisters in scheming. She spotted Wild Bill almost immediately and ran screaming down the street with Bill in hot pursuit. She kept dodging his lasso and he kept up the chase. Mr. Morgan was paying a $10,000 bounty for the girls' capture.
Bill had to admire the ladies' plot. They got rich and horny old Morgan drunk at the Palace Saloon and talked him into showing off his richly-appointed Pullman railroad car. It was rolling palace with teak and gilded trimmings and a safe filled with gold nuggets and cash. Abigale and Elvira soon has the old millionaire bedazzled with their, oh, talents while nimble Rowena cracked his safe and emptied it. They left the old fool passed out drunk on his bed and rode off with a fortune.
Fortunately for Wild Bill, old Morgan was a vindictive cuss who wasn't going to sit back after three saloon girls robbed him blind. The humiliated old bastard got the sheriff to organize a posse and promised a total of $10,000 to the man or men who could run those thieving hussies down and recover his gold. Soon the sheriff and a dozen other men hungry for Morgan's money were rushing to the county line. They figured Rowena and her girls were heading for Dodge.
Wild Bill guessed differently. He knew Rowena was crafty. No, she wouldn't run for it. She would lie low and wait until her pursuers had burned themselves up, then nice and quietly leave the territory. And he had a good idea where she would hide out. Rowena had worked at the saloon in Broke Back until a played-out silver mine turned it into a ghost town.
Well, Wild Bill soon knew that he had guessed right. He now had two of the thieves bagged, but the third one was being damn uncooperative.
"Dammit, Abby! Hold still! I gotta get all three of you if I'm gonna get my money!
