THEN the show began. The poor suffering girl being suspended had nothing to do with the action below her. After the show, half an hr break for the audience to buy pictures and stuff. No change for that girl, who remained suspended not only during the break, but also for the whole time of the second show of torturing women. After the second show of the evening, the girl is being lowered and set free, but nobody helps her regaining her power and get off the stage. She endured that process every second evening, forcefully by contract. Not appearing would have meant to be immediately fired. On weekend, she additionally had to endure harsh breast bondage and clamps on her nipples.
However, she earned enough money to support all of her family, parents and grandparents and being able to buy many nice things or save it for difficult times. The family knew what she endured and honored her for her sacrificing herself.
After my holiday, I stayed in touch with her. Hence the additional money was spent only on medical treatment and the doctor, meaning, it was NOT worth the additional pain, not at all. That's why she gave up, because when she tried to reduce the contract back to the old conditions, the theater wasn't interested any more. 'We rather get a new, 'fresh' one, who probably is stronger than you, continue as like as thus far or bye bye.
So, there you are, that is "modern" Japan, kind behind the scenes all the world can see from outside.
