Ksusha visits the college principal because it's the only way to avoid expulsion for not being allowed to take the session. The principal is occupied, but she keeps pushing because she's terrified of being thrown out. He makes her wait a few hours naked, kneeling on a stool in the entrance hall. She obeys. He informs her that a special executioner will punish her. The executioner takes her by the ear, brings her to the punishment place, puts her in hogcuffs on the floor, and strikes her bare soles with a riding crop. Then he orders her to stand on sharp wooden spikes with those same soles. In the end she's back kneeling on the stool, showing her spike-damaged bare soles.
